South America

The continent of South America consist of 13 countries including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Guyana, Ecuador and Chile. Hinduism is a minority faith in South America and is only followed by a very small size of its population. The most visited temple here is the ISKON temple and the Hare Krishna ashram Vrajabhumi, Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and the Tain Hindu Mandir and the Central Vaidik Mandir in Guyana.

Buddhism was introduced to Brazil by the Japanese in the 20th century. In Três Coroas and the Rio Grande do Sul are few largest Tibetan Buddhist temples.

Shri Arjun Dev Sahib Gurdwara and the Gurudwara Guru Nanak Sabha, São Paulo, in Brazil, are the only Gurudwara in this region that attracts many Sikh devotees.
